Q1.  Is begging an offence?
Ans:  Yes, under the Bombay Beggary Prevention Act 1959 extended to the NCT of Delhi, begging is an offence. The offenders are apprehended by conducting raids in different parts of the city and produced before the Megistrate for seeking quantum of sentence.
